The Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association, or SCSBOA, sponsors many band related activities in and around Southern California throughout the school year including field show competitions, concert band festivals and jazz band festivals.

The Marching Band Open Series (MBOS), sponsored by the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC), provides critically acclaimed WGASC standards to field show judging, emphasizing a balance between fine musicality and general effect. MBOS has been in existence since 2006, and the Lancer Band has already performed in many MBOS events.

The Bands of America sponsors a varied repertoire of events including regional and national music festival across the United States. The most famous Bands of America festival is always their Grand National Championships, where the top marching bands vie for the National title.

The Western Band Association sponsors many band related activities across the western states throughout the school year including field show competitions, concert band festivals and jazz band festivals.

The Winter Guard International sponsors a variety of color guard and percussion events at regional and national venues.

The Southern California Percussion Alliance sponsors both indoor and outdoor percussion events in the Southern California area.

The Winter Guard Association of Southern California sponsors indoor color guard events within the Southern California area.
