Is this process secure and safe?
We are using a new "Trusted Web Portal" at http://www.acceptiva.com/index.html for credit card payments. Acceptiva is very secure. Quoted from their FAQs:
- Is Acceptiva PCI DSS Compliant and are Acceptiva pages secure?
Yes, very secure. Acceptiva is a VISA/MasterCard certified PCI DSS Service Provider. All Acceptiva pages are hosted on our PCI DSS compliant secure servers and all data is encrypted using 128 bit SSL, industry standard secure technology. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliance requirements were developed by VISA/MasterCard and are enforced by Qualified Security Assessors (QSAs) such as Security Metrics.
We know much of this is technical jargon to many of you, but it means your transactions are very secure with Acceptiva. You can feel secure making donations and payments via the links we list above.
Finally, be sure to print your receipts, attach them to corresponding forms that are due, and put them in the "White Box" in the Band Room. Please contact the Band Office if you have any questions.
